I have no desire to go through the trouble of Cerekote or other "baked" finishes.
When I decide to take the plunge, I'm using Aervoe paints - more durable than standard spray paint and the colors are (I think) actual military colors.

The hand guard on my 7.62x39 carbine was purchased used and it had been sprayed in Aervoe "field drab" color, so I'll be using that and other colors.

I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I really like that brown. Are these available locally, or generally online only?

Probably online. I've never seen it in stores.
    DSG Arms carries it.

It's a weird color - I'm partially colorblind, so certain colors are hard for me to differentiate - is it a green, or a brown???
But yeah, I like it too.

I've been eyeballing Cerakote Patriot brown lately; it's similar but different.

I kinda want to do a black/brown 2-tone, but need to find the right brown.

It's not super easy to see that though.

I like the camo - a little more contrast would be perfect, but overall, I really like it. (I'm a camo snob)
I want to do one of my carbines like that, but I'm a chicken shit when it comes to committing to spray painting a rifle.

I use Aervoe. It has very good durability. The posted pic was just a quick spray to get the front end somewhat matching the rear (will add some contrast in summer).

The gun has an 8.5" barrel, pistol gas with pinned A2 fsb. 8" MLOK rail is made by 2A for PSA, and uses a standard barrel nut. I made the rough cuts with an angle grinder, my buddy cleaned it up on the mill and pinned the A2.

Not a magazine, it's a Caldwell magwell vice.
