I’ve asked this before but why clone or tribute a military rig? There are so many parts that she better rigs I have a hard time wrapping my head around it. All my issue rifles and pistols were beat to shit.

I believe it’s down to personal preference. I currently don’t have the time or money to shoot competitions and don’t feel I need the high speed lightweight new age stuff. Plus I’m a huge history nerd and military weapon buff and there is nothing cooler to me than being able to pull the trigger on a rig almost exactly like our military heroes have ( like you!) in years past protecting our freedoms. I went down the newest coolest gear road and it just didn’t tingle me nuts like a nice big m16a2. That’s my take at least. And of course no disrespect and thank you all for your service.

Rainier Arms Ambi lower with CMT slick side billet upper. STNGR RPTR 13" and I just added the Holosun 503GU. I LOVE this sight! 65 MOA ring with 2 MOA center dot reticle and auto off/on when it sits still for too long or sense motion. Resident Evil fans will appreciate the STARS patch on my chest rig.

Beautiful setup brother . Im a fan of the slick sides, ever since I picked up the gen 1 M&P15 sport with the slick side I fell in love with them.
I’m actual in the market now for a good holographic/ dot sight I was looking at a local shop Tanner’s , they have brand new eotech 512s for $299. But they are bulky... never thought of holosun but the reticle sounds like a dead ringer for the eotech reticle. Mind asking how much you paid? And how is shooting both eyes open with it?

Also Racoon city is feckin dangerous bro glad to see your doing ok.

Even with an Eotech on the table for $299, I still would have bought the HS503GU. I wanted something light. I had a Vortex Spitfire on there for the last year or so and it was noticeably heavier than the 503. It was on amazon for $189. As far how it is with both eyes open, it's not bad. The tube doesn't completely disappear like it does on the pistol red dot that I put on my shotgun but I don't have any trouble focusing on the reticle. I did some double and triple taps with target transition this weekend and it's WAY faster than the spitfire was. I had a hard time picking up the center dot so my accuracy was shit with that sight unless I fired super slow.
