I'm really glad I spent the money on it.

Not really.....Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (I've had it for about a year now when I finished this build)
I mainly got it for the SBR to eliminate the side blast when doing CQB training

    Interesting. Thanks for the reply.

I've purposely watched for flash and even shot HD video of me shooting to try and catch any muzzle flash and until two days ago I saw nothing - at all.
I had someone watch as I shot it and near the end of a mag I started shooting fast and there was one small flash that we both saw, but nothing like the typical fireball we all know and expect from the short barrels.

Maybe it's an ammo thing? Not sure. I was shooting that new American Eagle "green box" 55 gr 223 that Walmart carries. The only other rounds I've fired in it were Perfecta 223 and some small local manufacture remanufactured 223 rounds. All 55 gr.

I was looking at all the linear comps for the same reason you mentioned, but most did nothing at all to tame flash.
When I looked into the CQB comp, I saw some good reviews regarding flash control, so I spent the extra money on it.
So far so good on my end - no fireballs. (crossing fingers)

    Yeah......It's random

My ammo varies from AE to Federal

On the 300 Blackout version, I have the Ferfrans CRD comp

Wife gave me money to buy a Bodyguard .380 for Christmas

Also, went to Advanced Arms in Pittston over the holiday, and on the wall they have a RPR in .308, so I bought that also. Wanted a 6.5, but they are next to impossible to get, and the .308 RPR is also a unicorn so I could not walk out without it.
Will be getting an Athlon ARES BTR scope, Burris XTR rings and bipod for it, followed by creakoting in either a single color tungsten or silver/gray web design.
