LOL, I'm more of an Mlok type of guy myself. But the B5 is probably one of the thinnest plastic handguards available.

B5 is outstanding. It has regular M Lok slots on the bottom and top, keymod on the sides. I don't need rails so I haven't used either but that's what I've read.

I put strips of grip tape ALL OVER the handguard and then cut the holes out with a razor. Much slimmer than the MOE handguard and looks better at the same price point. I'm really sick of Magpul shit on everybody's rifle.

Yeah that just looks like you put tape on there. Doesn't look quality. Looks cheap.

That is exactly what I did. Grip tape is a function upgrade. It's not supposed to look pretty.

I do put that shit on everything. It's like a Hogue grip you can put anywhere. I'm probably going to be in Murrysville this weekend shooting with my brother in law so I can give you a few strips if you want to try it. It comes in 2" x 8 1/2" strips. You could probably do an entire carbine length handguard with one piece.
