I'm not disagreeing. Just pointing out that pictures frequently show chemlights dangling instead of being tucked away securely.

Yeah there are a lot of pictures of dudes doing janky shit. I chalk it up to a lack of knowing...and you know what they say about knowing; It's half the battle. Just like all the guys who grip thier magazines when shooting. We refer to it as "The 82nd Grip".

Yeah...I never understood that shit either. Or the guys who use a VFG, but put it so far back they might as well hold the magazine well. I see that often too, both among civilian shooters and even pictures of military guys.

I got my Grip Pods as far forward on my RAS as possible.

How well those PDW length AR run? Is it gas piston or DI?

I've never had any issues with mine and have done quite a few. One day I will be able to SBR one... one day.

I'm debating on 7.5" 5.56 DI upper or same on .300AAC piston upper for my registered lower...

To regurgitate what I've read over and over, a majority will say go with .300, but I enjoy the 5.56 out of it and it is effective for exactly as it is intended. I also have enjoyed the 7.62x39 out of it, but that isn't always cut and dry out of the gate when doing it.

Also, I can't afford to stock any .300 since I don't reload yet.

It's pistol length DI. Zero malfunctions so far, it runs great, and is just a ton of fun at the range.

I run a Spikes Tactical T2 buffer with Sprinco heavy Buffer (red), and Engage Armament black nitride bcg.
