Default Will not open carry around my Father.

My father is not anti gun. The problem I'am having is that he tells almost everyone we meet that I'am carrying. Before I started to OC he would tell anyone that stopped by his place when we were there that I was CC. The Next words out of his mouth are always, "B show them your gun". This past week his girlfriend had what was feared to be a slight Stroke. The Lock Haven Hospital does not have signs that have NO Guns. My wife and I were CC. We were meeting several of My Dad's girlfriends relatives for the first time. He did what he does at His place. "B Show them your gun". I could see the one Couple were not comfortable with this and I did not do it. My Dad grabbed my Sweatshirt and pulled it over to show my pistol.
With the weather getting warmer I would like to OC in public around him. The problem is I would feel uncomfortable because I know he would point out to others I was OC. He thinks OC is to show off your gun. I have tried to talk to him about this and tried to get him to read this Forum. That has not worked out. I'am hoping that time will mellow him due to CC and OC being rather new for my wife and I. My wife is carrying with me but he never said "L show them your gun".
Has anyone had this happen with a relative or a friend of yours? Did time help with the problem?

Never had that problem, but I have a suggestion...

Move your carry position and switch to a 12" dildo.

OMG I would get pissed. My dad is very irritating sometimes. I dont know how you handle your father but if my dad said that at a hospital Id give him death ray eyes and if he reached for my waist id crack his hand with a slap real hard

Good luck. I agree with your thought to desensitize him to it, I think its the only way.

Do you think he is trying to embarrass you in front of people?

It kind of defeats the purpose of CC, doesn't it? Going around telling everyone you're CCing... Of course, OCing will take away the concealed aspect of things, and may change his outlook - if everyone else can see it, maybe he'll shut up about it. I know he's Dad, but I'd have serious issues with my dad undermining me like that and I'd have to stand up for myself. Especially grabbing the shirt to reveal it - way not cool.... Tough situation, good luck.

Dad is not trying to embarrass me or undermined me. He is showing off that I carry a Pistol and he likes it. When I try to tell him about it, he says " It's Legal why not show people. If he had a smaller pistol he would be CC also but show people. He does not get it. I believe he would OC also.

If you start to OC it will take that thrill away from him. He won't be able to show your gun off because people will already see it. I think you will steal his thunder and it will help the problem.
I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy. Hippie and 3%er.

Just tell him that it is inapropreate for him to be doing such a thing. People sometimes forget that your parents are people to. They sometimes need to be sat down and explained how things work.

Not from my dad but one of my best friends did something similar. I was at his house for a birthday party just after I got my CCDW. He was drunk as a skunk and started rambling on about the gun. Not reaching for it or the shirt but just being obnoxious. The death ray eyes were definitely on him. I didn't say anything more then that I did recently get a CCDW, and that concealed means concealed, not talked about nor taken out for everyone to see.

Not sure he got it in his stupor but everyone else sure did. Conversation turned more to how to get a CCDW, why the felt need to carry. Typical gun carry questions.

He later came back and asked me to give him the gun and just more evil eyes from me. I told him that if really needed a gun to go upstairs and get one of his own.

    Friggin drunks!
