    I got a CD of wartime music from the library and this photo was on the back of the liner notes.

    I like the long bayonets so those caught my eye. It looks like the guy behind the shooter has a BAR.

    Also, look above the shooter's head, I think that's an ejected case flying.

    I can't find the original file without the text on it, but here's a photo of my father in law on top of a burned out German tank with what I must assume is an M1 Garand.

    Note the M1 Carbine leaning on the fence in the foreground.




    The commentary is in response to something one of the Dixie Chicks said several years ago. ("...You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country ... I don't see why people care about patriotism.")
