How do I get my gun back?
I brought my favorite pistol to a local gun shop/gunsmith a while back to get a new hammer/ sear put in it. Every time I asked, my pistol wasn't ready yet. They are good people, so I figured they would call when it was done.
Have't been there in a while and had the day off, so I stopped by today and the store is closed and there is nothing left in the shop- no guns, gear, or anything. I guess they went out of business or something? Now I can't get hold of them and they still have my pistol and I'd like to have it back. I miss it and I'm worried about it. what do I do?Don't take anything I say seriously, unless I say seriously. Seriously.

Check with the local gov't business office (boro or municipal, etc.) to find out who owned the store. Everyone has to apply for a business name, approval for location, etc. with the local gov't.
Call the owner, demand for your gun back.
If they don't give it back - take them to court.
You might be able to find the name/contact information for the business online these days.
What is the name of the shop?Last edited by falcn; March 12th, 2010 at 03:58 PM.

Re: How do I get my gun back?
wow sorry for your loss. I would go to the court house and see if you can find any info out like who the owner of the business was and try to find a number. If you find out who it is you may have to get a lawyer to get your firearm back.

Warner's surplus. I don't want to take anyone to court if I don't have to. They are good people, I just can't get hold of them. I just want my sweet-ass stainless gold match back. It's ma favorite, that's why I was hooking it up in the first place.
Don't take anything I say seriously, unless I say seriously. Seriously.

I believe, at this point, your gun could be considered STOLEN.
That's pretty serious right then and there.==============
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”
~Samuel Adams
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it."

Re: How do I get my gun back?
Rich Warner posted a few weeks back that he was in the process of contacting the people who's property he still had, so he could return it, or do whatever needed to be done to make even.
But that was a few weeks ago, and you still don't have your gun.
Get in contact with DC Dalton and he will direct you to Rich and get you your gun back. I'll let him know you're looking for him.
