I obviously missed your post a while back. I would be extremely pissed if I gave my firearm to an FFL and they turned it over to the cops. And then was told if the cops could not get in touch with me (for whatever cop reason) they would destroy my firearm. I'm sure the context is lost since I didn't see the earlier post.

It was in another thread. The problem was there were so many guns that he had bad phone numbers for and things like that. Hell the Walther I mentioned before had been sitting in the shop for 2 years. The guy dropped it off and said he was going to FL for a while, two years later he showed back up

People get tied up, change their phone numbers etc etc. Most of the guns in this case have been returned, I don't think the LE have any still lying around but this is what happens when a business changes or closes. You can't just hang on to all these guns for years. (oh and BTW, with the exception of a few guns most were 2 steps above junk, maybe why people weren't in a rush to get them back.)

So, through whatever error on whoever's part Rich has a bad ph# for the OP, but Rich still hangs on to the guy's very important firearm in hopes that the two parties will connect and the gun is not destroyed, and you still blow a shart? I'd say good on you Rich and give him, DC, and the others a cold one.
Meh, I talk to your kind over a retail counter all day. Hope the REST of you have a great weekend, and
    Take care

Excuse me? Are you NOT reading the threads or just trying to start shit?

He (the gun shop) didn't have a good phone number to get hold of the client! What would you like him to do take out TV ads to try and find the guy?

Let's not start the nonsensical crap now shall we?
