10mm Pistol,10mm Ammo
Can anyone provide a resource to obtain a 10mm auto pistol and also
sources for 10mm ammo(the hot stuff)? As you know its not the easi-
est pistol to find these days. Would like Glock 29 but would go for 20
if available. Would appreciate anyones input. Yes, I know they can be
obtained from Glock but I understand that it takes considerable time.
I would be willing to purchase a used pistol in good condition.

If you want the best 10MM ammo...I suggest doubletap.

As far as 10mm pistols...there are other options beside Glock. Look into EAA's 10mm pistols as well.

I got my G29 at Shyda's in Lebanon. I think I paid $499 for it but that was five years ago or more. They had several in stock when I bought mine.
Check them out. http://www.shydasgunshop.com/
As for ammo, I carry the Doubletap 180 grain Speer Gold Dot load. I used to carry Winchester Silvertips or Cor-Bons but I've recently gone over to Doubletap exclusively.
I haven't bought 10mm range ammo in several years since I reload. I like Unique and AA#7 for powders and I load a 180 grain Rainier plated FMJ. I keep that load at just under 1000 fps since the plated FMJ's aren't supposed to be driven real fast.
The most common factory ammo out there is Remington/UMC 180 grain FMJ's. CCI also makes a 200 grain FMJ in their Blazer line.

I also second the double-tap ammo for the 10mm, I use them and Hornady's 10mm loads for practice.
I bought two cases of the original Norma 10mm loading about 5 years ago and that what I use for my carry loading.

Norma makes some excellent ammo as well...very pricey, but worth it IMO.
