    Be careful as the Blackhawks sometimes lock up and don't allow the gun to be drawn.

    Seriously? I've never heard of that. I own 2 and have never had a problem with either.

    It's true. They don't spontaneously "lock up," but during weapon retention drills, an LEO friend of mine had a small stone get lodged under the release lever. The stone prevented the lever from being pushed, which prevented him drawing his gun after he had regained control.

    The odds of a small stone doing that to one of our Serpas while CC/OCing is pretty small, but some people feel that the risk is too great.

    I have 2 Safariland level II holsters for my Sigs. One uses the ALS retention system & the other uses the SLS. I can see where this could happen to them, or for that matter, to any holster that uses a mechanical contraption for retention.
