First Time Handgun Buyer. Need Something Inexpensive
Hello all,
I am looking into purchasing my first pistol for consealed carry.
I want to keep it quite small and compact.
Maybe something in .380 or 9mm.
I have completed several combat pistol courses up at Corning Community College in New York. I know my way around hand guns, but I have never had a chance to shoot anything other than a Full body 1911 in .45acp and a .38 revolver.
I want a semi-auto to begin with, and it needs to be as inexpensive as possible, as I have recently bankrupted myself with my new "Precision Rifle"

Second the Bersa; the 9mm UltraCompact (or Pro) is a well kept secret.

Keltec. either the PF9, P11 (both 9mm), or P3AT (.380ACP). all are well under $300, and are good working guns, and very concealable. i've had the PF9 and P3AT.
the Bersa is another good choice, or so i hear; i've never shot one, but they're popular for a reason.

I agree with the Bersa 9mm uc. I love mine. In the classifieds, there is a Mini Firestorm 40 cal selling for $250 which is the same thing as the Bersa 9, just in a 40 cal. Bersa and Firestorm is kinda like Chrysler and Plymouth. I had one just like it, but sold it to get the larger high capacity 40 cal Bersa. The Bersa 380 is a great gun, but the ammo has been a little tough to get, especially the hollow points and it is expensive compared to either the 9mm or the 40.
