wallet guns, please explain.....
why they are considered AOW, specifically the NAA one advertised in the classifieds on here.
Is it because that specific one is fixed into the "wallet"?
I don't see it as being any different than simply carrying loosely in your pocket, since you're not actually altering the gun itself....I mean with both you can immediately access the trigger, so how does the wallet make it an AOW?
What would be the difference between pocket carry without a holster, and pocket carry using "a dust cover with trigger access"...? I just don't get it.
Is this just another stupid regulation?

Not sure why the laws - I carry my Ruger LCP in a "wallet" holster, but the slide is exposed. I am told that if the slide is exposed, it is legal, but if gun is totally inside the wallet, it is illegal - who knows. Pennsylvania overall has great gun laws in general unlike the peoples republik of california, etc. so I never looked into it further - lol.

Re: wallet guns, please explain.....
the atf considers a pistol in a wallet to be an aow ( any other weapon), because they see it as a "disguised " firearm. If you can fire the pistol in the wallet ( a hole for trigger finger ), they do not consider it a pistol in a holster, but a pistol that is made to not look like a pistol. It's crazy, but they write and interpret the laws.
