Default Heads Up for You S&W Fans: Great Deal on 2 Revolvers!

finally got my van back on the road, so i took a drive over to Bill's Sporting Goods, on N. Main Ave and W. Market St. in Scranton. this is my favorite shop to spend money in. they don't have a huge selection, but the people who own and work there are the best. my brother needed to buy some ammo, and a new grip for his new revolver. i sat around, and as usual, asked Ted, the owner, to fondle some of the guns he had behind the counter.

the store is one of those shops that you have to come back constantly, because you never know what awesome stuff they're gonna have available. well, today, they had two great deals: a S&W Model 60 Pro Series, .357, in LNIB condition, for $550, and Model 642 LNIB for $350. i handled both of them extensively; i can tell you, i can't tell they're used. they're in nearly perfect condition, and are tight, with absolutely no rattle. if i had the available funds, one of them would have gone home with me, no doubt.

so, if anyone has been looking for one of these, but didn't want to pay $900 or $600 for one, get your ass to Bill's and get them before they're gone! tell them Alex sent you.

yeah, the Airweight. uh, i'm kicking my own ass now for buying it. i was planning on getting a rifel, but that'll have to wait another year. it's my brother's fault. he kept saying how nice it was, and wouldn't shut up about it. i've always wanted my own S&W snubbie, but they're too damn expensive. so, to get a pre-lock for only $350, in practically brand new condition, i'd be an idiot not to buy it.

well, i'm an idiot anyway, but you know what i mean.

on the upside, Ted told me that if i'm short on cash because of the purchase, i'm always welcome to stop in for donuts and coffee.

I have a 638. The only difference i know of is the 638 has a shrouded hammer.

    Wow great deal these days.
Enjoy it! Don't know if you ever owned an airweight .38, but if not I predict you're going to love it. They really are great carry guns.

I love my 642, got it a couple years ago for $300. I wouldn't mind picking up a shrouded hammer model tho.... funds are tight atm tho. good find, hope someone gets it.

You finally joined the ranks of the foaming at the mouth Smith wheel gunners. These little revolvers are very very accurate. Do a little staging of the trigger and you will see groups in the same size as match grade 1911's at 10 yards.
Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!
