Warren [County] Times Observer Article: 'Packing Heat'

A reasonable and well-informed article was published in the Warren Times Observer in Warren, PA today entitled "Packing Heat," which the author goes into detail about the number of permits issued Warren, Erie, Crawford and Forest Counties. The author says that approximately 14% of Warren County residents have a LTCF, while Erie County is at 4% and Crawford at 7%. I'm happy to be a part of that number!

There's also a poll to hit up, Are you surprised by the number of people that hold firearm permits in the county?

Right now it's Yes - 13%, No - 60%, and I have one - 28%.

Pennsylvania is a "shall-issue" state, meaning the issuing entity is required to approve a concealed carry permit unless they can prove a person should be disqualified based on law.

I wish that were actually true.

Gotta admit there are a few advantages to living out here in the sticks. The fact that carrying a weapon doesn't scare most people is one of them. Of course some people would call us rednecks, but I'm ok with that too.
