Default Had an eye bugging moment tonight, lol

    I'll keep this short.

I got home this evening and decided to take advantage of the warmer weather and the extended daylight, so I grabbed my shooting bag, my 9mm carbine, and my sidearm.

I decided to just carry my carbine and the sidearm was holstered. I walked out my front door to go to my blazer, which was outside and not in the garage. I'm holding my carbine by the grip in one hand and my bag in the other with my sidearm in view as well. Just as I look up an Altoona patrol car rolls over the hill. I'm like "Ohh..F$$#$##K!!!"

But I just kept walking, opened the door to the blazer, threw my stuff in. Just then he passed me and kept right on going.

    HAHA,...one up for Altoona PD

Ive done something similair. Shotgun in one hand, AK over the shoulder, glock in plain view, and a cammo duffel bag in the other hand. Police go rolling by and I get a smile.
There are way more good cops out there than bad. We just never hear about the good ones. Good for your PD! Maybe he was a shooter too

Thats why I told this story. Truth be told...I was starting to...well...not starting to,...I had a stigma for cops from all the bad stories I've heard. Plus, I've had a few WCO run ins in my younger days. But truth be told again, I've never really had a bad run in with a regular cop..........ever. Matter of fact, they have all been quite pleasant. This is something I'm aware of and trying to purge from my mind. Perhaps its human nature to find fault and hate...its so easy to do.

yea i agree here, ive had the mentality that theres more "bad" cops than "good" ones just because we hear more bad encounters than good... glad everything went well for you

What is a WCO? And why would you have runs in with them?

Because I don't have a case to properly fit it.

To the best of my knowledge a WCO (wildlife conservation officer) is the proper name for a "game warden" (correct me if I'm wrong)

And back in the day when we all use to hunt alot on the farm it was pretty much common practice at the time (and still MAY be true today) that alot of these guys abuse their powers. For instance, if they would see a private drive on someones farm they would just drive down it and start snooping around for absolutely no reason. Or they would walk into peoples garages....just walk right in gestapo style to check everyone out. Take your guns, make sure you had a license, see what game you took etc. No one was ever busted though, because non of us did anything wrong.
