    Default Ruger P85 grip extensions?

Either I suck at searching the internet or I am blind. (I feel like I have said that before)

I can't for the life of me find any suitable grip extensions for my P85. The little metal plate on the bottom of the magazines is pretty thin and when my swinging arm swipes it as I walk, FUCK it hurts.

    Any clues, guys and gals?

The newer Ruger mags have a plastic foot on them that covers the metal plate, but their going to run you $30+. You might want to check out the Hogue wraparound grip, it made a world of difference in the feel of the gun for me and even improved my shooting.

The stock grips are too narrow for me.

That's the thing, the grip itself is perfect. It's the plate at the bottom of the mag that kills me.

I don't wanna wrap the bitch in lots of electrical tape.

Glad to see you made it back OK today.

    On topic:

I don't recall any P85/Early P89s factory magazines with the extended baseplate and I have no personal experience, but

You could TRY a P89/93/94/95 flooplate and see if it will replace the flat bases on your p85 magazines

I would not be surprised if fitting is required if it works at all.

    or maybe a bumper pad?
