I agree with MDJ, I could be said to have reached for my gun when going for my wallet.
I would say unless someone sees it starting to clear the holster then Im not "going for it" or trying to pull it.Millions for defense, Not one cent for tribute!

Sounds VERY MUCH to me like the older guy in the story saw the OC'r make an unspecified , but INNOCENT movement in the general direction of the holstered side arm, over reacted and decided to interject himself in a situation that WASNT a situation until Joe Hero involved himself in something without waiting to see if it was even necessary.
If Im OCing and reach for my wallet , which when I do carry it is in my strong side rear pocket, or my cell phone , or my pocket knife which ride just ahead of the holster and some jackass comes rushing over and even touches me or makes a move to grab my sidearm he's going to find himself laying on the floor wondering what the hell just happened.Si vis pacem, para bellum

re: Scranton Carrier Arrested
Oreleski is a lady's bar hero. I bet he rushes around to prevent the boys from groping the girls.
I'd like an article to read "Mr. Oreleski was awarded a medal today for running across the bar and grabbing a 24 year old's hand and pointing them in a safe direction to let the fair 23 year old lady pass unmolested." That way I'd know Oreleski is a hero, and not a fool.
Let the 24 year old male claim he was reaching for his hamburger, we all know the truth, he was reaching for the other white meat.

I cannot offer a referral to counsel, yet I am sure you have a few sitting in your inbox already. This incident is a great lesson specifically for retention training. Too bad Oreleski was not laid out for being a douchebag and a danger to society.
I cannot imagine how it felt to have your weapon taken away by another person. This Oreleski guy should be up on assault charges for touching another person.Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!

So Oreleski took property that wasn't his... Oreleski is lucky Metzgar didn't have a BUG. I wonder what kind of holster/firearm/related circumstances allowed Oreleski to take control of Metzgar's firearm.

The ignorant a$$hole act of 1978.
I read the article, and I have to say that I for one am going to wait to hear anything that is made available before I make ay thoughts on it. But I agree with son of the revolution. If some one reaches for my gun, it better be to go after the guy that just killed me. And to the OP, I wish you luck, and I hope this all goes well for you.
