Presque Isle State Park and carrying
I need some clarification on whether you can legally carry in Presque Isle State Park. I was driving through yesterday and there was a man and woman walking and he was openly carrying a firearm. They were maybe in their early 30's. I know it's legal to drive through State Parks but if I read you cannot possess firearms there unless authorized to do so.

Re: Presque Isle State Park and carrying
Open carry is not permitted in Pennsylvania State Parks (unlike National Parks). Concealed carry is allowed, with an LTCF.

Re: Presque Isle State Park and carrying
Yes, with an LTCF you can legally carry, CONCEALED. Open Carry is still a no-no in state parks and will get you a summary citation if the ranger so desires.

Re: Presque Isle State Park and carrying
From the park's web page at http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/statepar...squeisle.aspx:
Firearms and archery equipment used for hunting may be uncased and ready for use only in authorized hunting areas during hunting seasons. In areas not open to hunting or during non-hunting seasons, firearms and archery equipment shall be kept in the owner's car, trailer or leased campsite. The only exception is that law enforcement officers and individuals with a valid Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms may carry said firearm concealed on their person while they are within the park.

Part of Presque Isle is a national landmark. Are national landmarks considered Federal property meaning you cannot carry there?
