An addtional note as other have asked.
You DO NOT need to be an NRA Instructor to be a Range Safety Officer.

Re: NRA RANGE SAFETY OFFICER COURSE BUCKS COUNTY PA -- MAY 8 2010
I was told by an NRA training counselor that if you are already an NRA certified instructor you can simply get the RSO done via mail and it wouldn't cost $125.00
We just finished up some courses and numerous members of the class asked about getting the RSO certification. The info above was announced by several instructors and the NRA counselor.
Is the RSO class mentioned in the OP the same type of certification?
Thanks.Adapt, Adjust and Overcome.

Re: NRA RANGE SAFETY OFFICER COURSE BUCKS COUNTY PA -- MAY 8 2010
A current NRA instructor is already credentialed as an instructor and can do the RSO by home validation, paying for the cost of the book (approx $20) and the NRA fee ($26 for NRA members/ $36 for non NRA members, in the first year of their instructor certification).
A non- instructor must take the ten hour course, pay the same fees, and depending on how the set up is, over the same book cost.
Same certification.
i am NOT affiliated with the host or the provider.
Please, before you go on about the cost, think about it in rational terms. How much do you "cost" an hour of time? (self employed-your hourly rate. employee, think pay rate AND benefits. look to plumbers, electricians, and car mechanics as examples).
With the $20 plus shipping cost of materials, not including refreshments and handouts, you are paying about $10 and hour for education...

Also a NRA TC and Chief RSO...

well clarified and just what i was told, minus the ten hour course part b/c all of us are certified instructors and there was no need to explain the difference.
