Default Dunhams - FYI on GSGs and Wolf

I stopped by Dunhams in Carlisle today because I saw they had Wolf (both .223 and 7.62) marked at $5.49 a box. It's not the cheapest but there was no shipping so it worked out OK for a small purchase.

In talking to the gentleman at the counter, he mentioned that this week their GSG's would be on sale for $399. If you want a fun summer plinker, you may want to keep an eye open.

Good tip. BTW, their flier is online now... says that deal is Sunday & Monday only and then the price climbs. Same for a couple other rifle specials they'll have going on. Get there early!

That isn't a bad price on Wolf... but it isn't a good one either. For the same price per box I can get Golden Tiger from AIM surplus.

Tiger> Wolf anything / but MC 124gr HP.

I have the sale paper in front of me...

    GSG5 CARBINE
The legendary GSG5 carbine, this gun is no longer in production, so hurry in while they last.
Reg. $600 (hahaha - Dunham's regular prices are laughable)
    $399.99
    After Monday, $449.99
The photo looks like the "Platinum edition" they usually advertise (it's not all black - looks dumb to me), but the ad doesn't specify.

Got there right at open yesterday and fondled the only one they had. Took every once of willpower to leave it behind. "I don't need it... I don't need it".

Was there for the Mosins anyway but this crop wasn't great.

Yeah I mentioned it wasn't the cheapest but it wasn't bad for local stuff in low quantity. You avoid shipping from AIM (10 boxes adds another $1 + / box.)

    The flyer is here:

That silver one is the 1yr anniversary edition. At least that is what they had at the Carlisle store. The guy working there said it would not be part of the sale but I agree that they don't specify.

I recently got the 4.5" barrel model GSG so I can SBR it. I got mine for $409 delivered from Budsgunshop.

At my location (Johnstown), they don't have the GSG, but they do a have a sweet amd 65 paratrooper 7.62x39, for 449.99.

The only thing I didn't like about getting my AK at the Dunhams in Altoona was a PICS check for a longarm ($2) and they had to call their corporate office with my info to release the rifle. Sounded wierd to me. The guy taped up the box and almost walked me clear to my car before he coughed it up.
