    Default My new looking glass

Was trying to decide what scope to go with before. This is what I got

    millett 4-16x50 trs-1
comes with sun shade/lens covers and cloth scope cover.
model-1 scope mount.cheap mount compared to others but its very nice
I think I will be happy with this

    Nice,,,but

Isn't it a bit overkill for that weapon. An AR isn't exact famous for being a long range gun, it's fine for medium to short range. The scope looks like it would be more suited for a sniper rifle then the AR.

I don't mean for this to sound like I'm pissing in your Cheerios, but I think once you go to the range and try some medium/short shots you are not going to be satisfied with the setup.

I dont like Cheerios. So piss away

I will be using this for 100/200 yard shooting and to check the groupings on my reloads

My Carbine AR with halo sight is for the medium/short shots

4-14x is about the most versitile scope on the market for good old PA IMO. I shoot ARs at 600yds in CMP matches, isn't that long range? Im planning on putting a 5.5-22x nightforce on an AR-10. Its all your preference, i'm just giving mine haha. That setup that he has looks great, I love that sunshade.
