Pa drivers license and LTCF in one day
Just moved to PA and got my drivers license today and immediately went to the bucks county sheriffs dept and got my LTCF. It took longer to get my drivers license than it did to get my LTCF. LTCF took 15 minutes and I was out the door. The young guy that did the LTFC was awesome. Went though the basic laws with me and made some recommendations. Can't wait to go the the PA convention center gun show tomorrow and get a nice holster for my P226.
Anyone recommend one for a P226 that is OWB?

yeah the didn't call me references. I was shocked on how smoothly it went. I guess i'm used to the NJ DMV and I do a lot of work with NJ government so I guess anything will go smoother in comparison.

Re: Pa drivers license and LTCF in one day
Interesting. I moved to PA last November, got my "temp" driver's license & the Levittown office would not let me apply for a LTCF w/that. Waited a week for my permanent driver's license to come in the mail then went for my LTCF w/that & 10 days later my LTCF came.

Re: Pa drivers license and LTCF in one day
Yeah I was going to go to the levittown one cause its closer. I called them to ask them some questions. The woman was not that friendly when I asked her about LTCF. I decided that it was better to go directly to the source. The levittown office just sends your application to the bucks county sheriffs office and then mails it to you. I took the longer drive and didn't have to wait. We all know that the waiting game sucks.
I called regarding the temp ID and they said it was fine before I went there.

Congrats, I'm also a relatively recent NYC/NJ transplant (though I still work in NYC). Got my LTCF within a week of getting my driver's license, also used my temp license to get it -- no problem.
