    Dear Fellow Pennsylvania Taxpayer,

We are in the midst of unprecedented times in our nation’s history. Americans are uniting in shared defense of freedom and liberty - qualities in which this country was founded. Protesters rallied in the million-plus range on September 12, 2009, in our nation’s capitol, for more limited government and lower taxes.

There have been hundreds of rallies across the United States defending and fighting for liberties affirmed to us all in the U.S. Constitution.

People are finally taking their voice public, sending the message to government that enough is ENOUGH! It is time for politicians to start acting like legislators who were elected to office to REPRESENT the VOICES of their constituents and to stop representing themselves.

Join us for the 2nd annual Pennsylvania State Capitol Taxpayers’ Protest June 8, 2010 for the full working day (9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) and send the message to YOUR legislator that IT IS time for them to listen to what YOU have to say.

Reference the legislative map to find your legislator and come to their office June 8, 2010 at the State Capitol. Bring your bagged lunch and stay all day. If your legislator’s office is full find another legislator’s office that isn’t.

Fill the halls and the rotundas! Stand and sit on the steps and benches! Find a spot and spend the day at the State Capitol to send a message to YOUR legislator that it is about time that they listen to the VOICES of their constituents!

Protecting American Lives, Liberty and Property

    May 2010

How do we save Pennsylvania taxpayers over $700 million per year? Enact legislation that I introduced on May 5, 2010 modeled after the Arizona legislation that is directed at ending the illegal alien invasion. A study conducted last year by the Federation for American Immigration Reform estimated that we are spending over $700 million per year on healthcare, education and incarceration of illegal aliens in Pennsylvania.

The high cost of the crimes of stolen jobs, property theft and id theft by illegal aliens against Pennsylvanians is difficult to evaluate due to the policies of our government that have facilitated the illegal alien invasion instead of ending it. I have met Americans who have been traumatically affected for the rest of their lives because a loved one was murdered by a foreign national who did not belong on our soil. The crimes of rape and molestation are additional documented crimes that are being committed against American citizens by illegal aliens who are invading our nation.

It is beyond belief that post September 11, 2001, that our federal government, who has a Constitutional obligation under Article 4 Section 4 to protect our states from invasion, has not secured our borders to protect us from the potential terrorist threats created by porous border security. What will have to happen for Americans to rise up and demand the same level of national security that we have provided to foreign allies around the world, but have failed to deliver at home?

Earlier this month I was blessed with the opportunity to appear as a guest on FOX with Greta Van Susteren, Fox & Friends and Neil Cavuto to discuss our Arizona-modeled legislation and the importance of advancing these policies to protect American lives, liberty and property. Links to two of these interviews can be found at the bottom of this memo. In addition to these national interviews, I also interviewed with TV, radio and newspaper media outlets from Allentown and Philadelphia to Alabama and Arizona about this critical issue facing our state and nation.

The Democrat leadership sent my legislation to the House State Government Committee. The chair of the committee is a Philadelphia legislator, a member of ACORN and has been photographed marching with pro-illegal alien protesters. Our pursuit of this legislation will not be deterred by this blatant move against the interests of our citizens.

The budget debate to ensue as we approach the June 30th deadline will be another opportunity to highlight the fiscal savings to be realized once illegal aliens are driven from our state. Democrats in Harrisburg are pushing for tax increases to satisfy their and their Governor's insatiable spending appetite. The budget deficit must be erased by reducing spending and taxes if we hope to see jobs created.

I continue the fight to protect taxpayers and I hope you will be able to join me at the 2nd Annual Pennsylvania State Capitol Taxpayers' Protest in Harrisburg on June 8, 2010.
