    Default p226 Elite

Was at east coast guns sales today, handled a p226 elite. it feels at home in my hands. i'm pretty much set on that model. is there anything similar to that i should check out before i pull the trigger?

there are alot of P226 variants, be sure to check them all out and get the one that is right for you.

I've got the blackwater tactical and love it.

The P226 is a great pistol there are so many variants of it, that you should look at all of them before pulling the trigger, Plus The P229 is the P226 only a little smaller, I got one Ordered for the Fiance, in the elite configuration......

Cant go wrong with any of the SIG's.

I agree, check out the 229.

If you decide to carry, it will be MUCH better IMHO.

The 229 feels alomst exactlyt the same ad the 226. It is a little klighter in weight of course.

Any Sig is certainly a worthy gun. I just bought my 7th Sig this week, a 220 Carry Stainless Elite. Haven't gotten to the range yet, but VERY nice just from looking at it. I still love my 1911's, and still prefer a SA, but if you can't have a 1911, the Sig is a great 2nd choice.

I disagree. I think that the Sig Sauer is an equal firearm and in SOME applications, actually better than the 1911.

The US Navy Seals can use ANY weapon in the armed forces inventory. But what pistol do they use in Afghanistan? The Sig Sauer.

The BWT isn't showing on the Sig web site anymore. Maybe they're replacing it with another model. The Blackwater had a lot of nice features.

Anyway, I like Sigs & I bought my second yesterday. A 229R in .40 w/night sights. It's all cleaned, inspected & relubed, so we'll be heading to the range today. I also got a Safariland holster for OC. I tried it in the Crossbreed ST that I have for my 220 Carry & it fits nicely.

What's right for the SEALs isn't necessarily right for someone else.

I like the 229 in 357 SIG myself.
