Ruger Mark III Grips

I want to get new grips for my MK III to replace the ones with the thumbrest. On the Ruger site they have some Hogue grips in OD Green, Blue, and Silver. I have not seen pics of a MK III with any of these grips on. Does anyone have pics with these colors? I was thinking of the silver but they are out of them, plus my MK III is a stainless steel model so I don't know if it would look dumb with metal on metal. I was also considering the blue but I hoped that it wouldn't make my pistol look like a toy. What do y'all think? Thanks in advance.

Thanks! They have a Mk I,II,II sub forum and the first sticky is a pic thread. I'm on page 26 now... Most of the grips that I have seen so far are the stock grips or different wooden grips, and some black rubber grips. Saw two pics with white grips.

the Volquartsen thumbrest target grip is huge, flimsy, and shoddy for the price ya pay... and it looks awful.

I bought one years ago... lasted about 1 month and the screws tore thru the grip.

He is ditching a thumbrest grip and wanted to see what some colors looked like on a stainless MKIII. The link below shows some different color laminated stocks for the MKIII. I STRONGLY agree with your assessment of the shitty "Volthane" grips by Volquartsen. These laminates are far from those.
