    Default Closed for "Lead Remediation"

Apparently, almost every range in Pennsylvania appears to be closed this month. The reason is lead remediation. However, I think it very unlikely that ALL of these ranges are being worked on simultaneously.

Furthermore, it is extremely poor resource management to close all facilities during a peak time (ie: start of hunting season). I am all for cleaning up the sites. But they should only be closed during active remediation. Considering how government clean-up/construction jobs almost always take was longer than proposed; I am worried that we could find these ranges closed for months.

I am also starting to become suspicious as to whether this is mere coincidence. First the background check system is shut down for a number of days preventing citizens from buying firearms. And now almost all the State public ranges are closed. Both during a peak activity time?

I am beginning to get suspicious as to whether our liberal anti-gun governor is engaging in some monkey-business. It seems like both of these events are taking a knock at the law-abiding gun owner. The fact that we lose our right to buy firearms if the background check system is down is rather disturbing. So a mere failure to fund or non-recoverable crash would result in the loss of the right to purchase and therefore own a firearm? I also found it very strange that they did a hard rollover. Usually in such live applications one runs both systems concurrently for a period of time.

Here are some contact numbers I looked up and will be contacting voicing my concerns regarding what I believe to be at best, very poor implementations.
