I am trying, once more, to convince a co worker that open carry of a handgun is legal in PA, especially when you have a LTCF.


I mean, this is almost as frustrating as playing with cheaters on Call of Duty!

I simply tried telling him, that I for one have open carried, talked to LE, and not been arrested. I tried telling him that there are huge public movements of OC people.

"Well I've never seen anybody do it, I'd call the police."

"Why would I believe you, Officer BlahBlah told me you can't."

same old, same old.


So, I went to town (proverbial), and pulled up the UFA on one tab, PA open carry on another, Wikipedia's page on PA state gun laws, AND Wikipedia's page on the UFA.

If he still can't learn the law, I dunno what to do.

Oh, btw he's so sure he's right because he remembers reading the sheriff's letter that said it must be concealed. He also called it a concealed weapons permit.... And he has one.... I mean, how can people possess something, and not know what it is, or what it's used for? Beyond me.

It sucks to think about who else this guy is telling "the law to". He's so determined that he's right. It really pisses me off.

The UFA does mention that a purpose of the LTCF is for concealment. That could come back to bite me in the wallet.

I haven't shown him anything yet, all those websites are just brewing. I will post what happens later in the day... When it happens. I'll have to add the training update to the list I guess.
