I'm going out in the Morning, probably 10 ish... maybe
So I stopped by Kinsey's and picked up a $49.99 Mosin Nagant that's all whacked up.... gotta try to shoot it before I take it apart
Trust me it's scary looking, a 91/30 that saw made into a carbine.Honesta Mors Turpi Vita Potior ~ 3%

I won't be out Saturday but do plan on shooting Sunday. What kind of markings are on the receiver, and what date is stamped on it? PICS!!!!

Do the serial numbers match, especially the bolt and receiver?

Re: Shooting Saturday 3-6-2010
I strongly suggest spending a few $$ to have the headspace checked before you fire it, especially if the number on the bolt doesn't match the receiver. You're within walking distance of someone who should be able to do it for you in a few minutes and unless he's really busy he may be able to do it right away. I wouldn't expect it to cost any more than $15.00.
I have a no-go gauge for that chamber but I don't remember where I put it and I don't have time to look right now. If I have time to look later tonight or sometime tomorrow I'll let you know. Just using a no-go gauge isn't as comprehensive as using a full set of gauges but it will alert you to an unsafe situation where the headspace is too great.
I still recommend asking Jim if he can do it for you before Saturday just in case I don't find mine before then.
