Default 7.62x39 and Fettuccine (BETTER Meal Protection)

Some of you have seen my thread titled "Fettuccini with a Side Order of Pony".
    http://forum.pafoa.org/gun-pictures-...rotection.html

    from that thread...

Great pictures, great meal, and a great little gun.

With a meal that good, you might want to protect it with something a little bigger than with a .380acp!!

Well, the man has a point, so I brought out some bigger firepower...

    ...

    ...

    ...

    ...

Fettuccine with Creamy Tomato & Italian Sausage Sauce and my WASR AK-47
    (with 20 round "kitchen-size" magazine)

    The fixins...

The shallots and garlic have been sautéed in olive oil, 1 lb. of hot Italian sausage and 1 lb. of sweet Italian sausage browned, and whipping cream added...
(recipe calls for only 1 lb., but I doubled everything)

After allowing that to simmer a few minutes, it's time to add the diced tomatoes...

Stir in tomatoes, add basil and continue to simmer while preparing to cook pasta in the other pot...
(recipe calls for sage, but I don't have any, so I used basil)

20 rounds of FMJ should do the trick... pasta safe, and ready to go into the boiling water...

Creamy sauce mixed with pasta and topped with a bit of Parmesan cheese - ready to eat!

Once again, I can't thank dc dalton enough for posting the recipe.

    Check it out:

    This recipe is FANTASTIC!

I doubled the recipe this time
and sent over a large bowl for the neighbors to try it. If you haven't made it yet, you don't know what you're missing!

I hope you all enjoyed this edition of "What's in Emptymag's Kitchen/Gun Cabinet"!

Glad I'm not the only one that can't get the sauce to thicken

slightly lower heat + more time will usually reduce most sauces pretty well.

try draining the diced tomatoes from the juice, you'll get enough juice from the tomatoes while stirring, you dont need the extra.

Thanks. Care to guess what that "cord" is and where I got it?

I think you made an excellent choice in pairing a 20 round mag with this meal. Anything greater would have certainly been excessive.
    Great AK.
    Damn! It's 9:20am and now I'm famished.
I've gotta try that recipe... right now

Yeah, any time I've made it, it hasn't "really" thickened... just a little.
    No matter - still awesome.

For this batch, I made a pound and a half of pasta (much more than called for), so I wanted to be sure to have enough "sauce", so I did use all the juice. Initially, I thought it was going to be too much, but trust me, I ended up with just enough.
