Default Mifflin County Sportsmens this weekend!

Don't forget Mifflin County Sportsmens, Lewistown, this weekend.

This is one of the few ranges in PA where we can do actual distance (to 500 yds) Appleseeding.

    Most excellent opportunity.

    PS walkons welcome 8:30am sharp

Bumping this thread up to find out what's in store for 2012.
Will events still be held in Manheim? I can't find any info on PA events.

I suggest you contact Chainsaw directly. Tom is the coordinator for the State of PA. He is a good guy and may have some more info. They develop their schedule as the filed opens up.

I was able to have Palmerton host a couple of events this year but the Fudds there complained that it closed the range down for regular members so it was a hard pull.

Good luck. Appleseed Project is a terrific and timely event at a great value.
Name another outfit that you can get the level of quality instruction wrapped up with historical reference. There is no other.

Thanks guys. I'll contact chainsaw but if there's one at LPRG in March that's even closer to me than Manheim. Great news!

That is great news. I went to the Manheim shoot in October but LPRGC is way closer. I will look to sign up for it ASAP.

I'm hoping that's open to non-club-members? I would think so, since the sign-up is at the appleseed site (but the 2012 schedule isn't in place yet). If so, I'll be there at least once in 2012 and probably more than once.

I'm assuming my CZ452 bolt action .22 is no good for this...I better get a 10/22 between now and then.

Yes the Appleseed shoots at LPRGC are open to all shooters. We can accomodate 20 shooters per event. This is a .22lr only shoot at 50' and follows the regular Appleseed format. We use one of the pistol bays for the event.
