    Default Upcoming Russian Sniper Course in NE PA

    Soviet Sniper Course

    Two day Class starts on Saturday at 8:00AM, runs through Weekend and ends at 5:00PM on Sunday, rain or shine.

    This class offers introduction into philosophy and methodology behind Sniper application within Soviet Armed Forces and especially Spetsnaz units. Three day class will have students get familiar with their weapons and scopes, learn “shooting nest” set up and basic concealment, movement within a unit, quick target acquisition and rapid precision fire. Students will gain an understanding of Soviet Sniper doctrine and gain a confidence to engage targets at long distance.

    Apart from main theme of this course students will have chance to take part in taking a leadership roles, setting up a bivouac and meal consumption the Soviet Army style and few other surprises that our staff had prepared.

    As an added bonus this class will include a night fire exercise. Students are welcome to bring their own Night Vision equipment. There will be several NV equipped soviet type weapons available from Behind Lines.

    This course is taught by our staff instructor Mark “Marco” Vorobiev with assistance from another staff instructor David Fortier.

    This is going to be hi-pace, hi-intensity class with fair amount of shooting.

    Cost - $450.00 per student for the entire course.

    This class is limited to 20 students. Spots are offered on first come-first served basis.

    Saturday night a dinner will be hosted by Behind Lines for all students, instructors and staff.

    At the end of the Course Certificates of completion will be awarded.

    What to bring:
    - Your favorite scoped rifle, preferably semi-automatic, although bolt-action rifles are also welcome.
    - 400-500 rounds of proper caliber ammunition.
    - Binoculars, although not necessary, but range finding scale would be a great help.
    - You most comfortable load bearing chest or belt.
    - BDU or utility uniform/clothing that you would not mind getting dirty, dusty or muddy.
    - Suitable and comfortable boots/shoes that you would not mind getting dirty, dusty or muddy.
    - Head cover of your choice.
    - You most comfortable backpack.
    - E-tool or spade.
    - Canteen or water bottle.
    - Mess Kit with utensils.
    - Eye and Hearing protection.
    - Gun cleaning kit.
    - Small note pad and pencil.
    - Ears, Eyes and Open Minds.

    What students can bring (following items are not necessary, but can be helpful as well as add to more realistic feel of the course).
    - Rain poncho.
    - Shooting mat.
    - Sleeping bag.
    - Range finder.
    - Compass.
    - MREs.
    - Knife.
    - Multi-tool.
    - Side arm (no ammo).
    - “Short” foldable rifle with 200-300 rounds of ammo.
    - Flack jacket/Body armor and Helmet.

    Sniper Course Schedule:

    Saturday 8:00AM – 6:00PM
    Sunday 8:00AM – 5:00PM

    Please plan to arrive at the site at least 15 minutes before start of the Class. Expect to spend 10 hours in the field. Hardy breakfast and plenty of rest between class sessions is highly advised.

    From downtown Athens:
    At the corner of Main Street and Susquehanna St. (Sam’s Restaurant) turn east and cross over the new Susquehanna River Bridge. Go straight following the double yellow lines in the road about 2.5 miles to a Y. Bear right on SR 1057. At the top of a long hill bear left. Take the second right onto Sportsman Road (still SR1057). Go one mile and turn right onto SSC driveway. Go ˝ mile to the Clubhouse.

    From Nichols
    Turn south off river road at Jim's travel trailer sales towards Litchfield, about 4 mile to Litchfield corners set odometer and turn left [ south ] on N. Hill Road #1067, at 1 mile cross cotton Hollow Rd and stay on Hill Rd, at 2.3 mile and a stop sign turn right onto North Rome Rd #1050, at 2.5 mile turn left onto Sportsman Rd #1057, travel to 3.5 mile and turn right into a 1/4 mile drive to SSC

    -Elmira, NY. BEST OPTION. About 20 minutes to the town of SAYRE.

    that’s about it. It’s a small town. There are a few others, but they are further away. The (2) hotels listed above are 20 mins from the range. Others are little more.

    Why do you have north east, Pa. as your address, North East is in Erie Co, and Bradford Co. isn't in Northeastern Pa???

    The training sounds interesting, but I'll be too busy to even consider it.

    If i had an SVD Dragunov or PSL-54C i would be there. A scope on my old Mosin Nagant would even work too. Sadly i do not have either, or the funds to acquire one in time. This course sounds intensely fun. Wish i had the hardware to attend.
