Default NAA mini revolver: BIG thumbs up

This past week I bought a NAA mini revolver. The one I bought had a .22 magnum cylinder and a .22 LR as well. It has rosewood grips and 1 5/8" in barrel. This gun makes my glock 19 look like a tank. (Pictures will be added asap). Got all of this for $175 so my standards were not very high. So I took it home, did my initial cleaning. The lockup on this gun is great with both cylinders, to be honest it has one of the best lockups I have had the pleasure in dealing with out of any of the revolvers I have handled. The gun is solidly built and a fine piece of American craftsmanship if you ask me. So for quality and build I give this gun a great success rate so far.

    RANGE REPORT:

So for this short of a barrel I was expecting this gun to be all over the place. I have to tell you I was dead wrong! I was shooting within 5 yards and got a grouping within the size of a baseball and I am no competition shooter. The recoil with the .22LR rounds was nonexistant yet with the .22 magnum rounds the gun is a bit snappy. After about 30-35 rounds of the magnum my hand was done with that and I went back to the long rifle with still great success with accuracy even out to 7-8 yards! So true, this is no competition gun, but you will most definitely hit what you are aiming at within 5-8 yards.

    End Result:
I can't speak for everyone's opinions on this gun, but I for one love it. If I knew I was going into a gun fight would I bring this gun? OF COURSE NOT. Would I carry this gun daily as a BUG or carry it when I can't carry anything else. YES AND DO! Accuracy is decent enough for combat distances and this gun can slip away ANYWHERE. Also .22 magnum does wonders with tumbling in ballistics gel (google it, thanks Rick) so I would assume it could get you out of a tight situation if need be. So if you are thinking about getting one of these beauties don't hesistate. That's my 2 cents on it.

O DID I MENTION THIS GUN IS FUN AS ALL HELL TO SHOOT!

I'm a fan of the 22 Magnum, and have been thinking about blowing a couple hundred $$ on one of these. Thanks for the review.

So glad you are enjoying it! It's really a fun gun and won't be left at home due to size/weight/concealment issues. And well made to boot.

Hits where you aim it too!

    Have fun Chris!

It's stainless steel. It'll clean up.

But what about an obstruction in the barrel? I imagine a corn kernel would plug it up a bit...

Proof again that one should always exercise the utmost in care with one's firearms, and give each one a thorough inspection each and every time it comes back into the hand . . .

I have a NAA Mini with the 22LR and 22 Mag and can't say I am all that thrilled about. I ahve to admit it is the smallest BUG I've encountered but that's about it.

Check the ballistics on NAA's website. You're only looking at about 70 ft lbs of energy which is about the same as a 25 auto. A Beretta Jetfire give you more shots, self cocks, and is a lot easier to hit a target at any range.

I have an "Earl" and it's pretty spiffy.

I'll end up getting another at some point, they are nice little revolvers.

I'm not much of a laser fan but I think the NAA pistols are perfect for one.

    This is cool.
