    Question Taurus revolver barrel

I have a Taurus revolver, large frame. I want to know if anyone knows if I can get a new barrel from Taurus and change them. How hard of a process is this. Is it just a matter of unscrewing the old and screwing on the new till its tight? I just got done swapping receivers on my AR. From an A2 style to a new, stripped A3/M4 style. I have some skills. I don't want to send it to the factory or some other guy and pay them. If I have problems with function then I send stuff to a pro but...

    Default Re: Taurus revolver barrel

There is a bit more to it than screwing a barrel on and off. The barrel shoulder has to be faced with a lathe so that the barrel is torqued properly at the point where the front sight is in proper alignment. Also the barrel to cylinder gap has to be set properly once the barrel is installed correctly.
