advice in a pt145
Looking at a Taurus pt145,, a friend decided to sell his older ccw as he picked up a 1911 ultra compact. The price to me is like $200.. I was leaning towards the keltec pf9 and might pick one up for a summer weight carry for in the pocket when I'm wearing shorts.. How are the pt145's for IWB carry? reliability? I hope to take it to the range in a couple weeks to see how she feels..
Thanks,,
Steve

Re: advice in a pt145
My only advice is to shoot it before you buy. Seems like a great price, though. I had a 24/7 Pro Compact DS (which is a different gun, I know) that I sold because I really didn't like the trigger. Overall, though, I liked the Taurus. It was accurate, concealed well, and was reliable AFTER the break-in period. YMMV. Good Luck.

Re: advice in a pt145
It is one of my fav carry guns and shoots and handles well. The trigger is long but breaks well and it has good accuracy for a smallish carry gun. I did not like any of the Kel-Tecs I handled but every person is different.

Re: advice in a pt145
I looked for a pf9 but couldn't find one. But instead picked up a pt140, and an inexpensive soft IWB holster. I wore it around the house for a few days, and there where times when I didn't even notice it. Now, the 145, and the 140 are different. But I'm only 5'11" and about 180lbs, and I like mine. Once I get a few rounds through it, it's going to be my primary carry.
