I WISH this were my first ever gun. First, CONGRATS on the first! Second, NICE! I'm looking for one right now. Let us know how it shoots!

Re: My Sig Sauer P229r
Thanks guys.
It was definitely above my budget but I saved for a good while, so I think I deserved to get myself what I really wanted.
I'm not sure about my next purchase, yet. Probably another pistol- I don't really have the storage room for long arms.
Tonight I'm getting the mag release on my Sig swapped to the other side (I'm a lefty). Can anyone recommend sights? Trijicon seems popular.Last edited by runningfast; February 26th, 2010 at 01:30 PM.

Re: My Sig Sauer P229r
excellent choice. IMO you can't go wrong with a SIG. They are expensive, but in pistols, you get what you pay for. and this is coming from a former glock guy. Don't get me wrong, i still love my glocks, but the sig is in a totally different class.
