I even called to confirm this. They told me I would have to buy ammo from them in order to shoot a rental handgun. They want $24 for 40S&W and $22 for 9mm. Too much in my opinion. Considering I already have plenty of both 40S&W and 9mm already.

Can't beat the Glock but how about the Springfield XD9 3" Sub-Compact? Comes with one 13 and one extended 16 round mag, holster, mag loader and lockable case. All for somewhere around $450.00!

    Nice

I voted for the Pt140. I had the PT145 and in was awsome as a concealed carry weapon for me. Recoil was managable for the subcompact 45. I also liked the idea of 10+1 200Gr +p as a man stopper

My apologies, I didn;t see this note when I posted my comment. If this is out, then I double down on the Glock 26 (19 as well). Good luck and have fun picking!

Is it wise to practice with one cal when you anticipate defending yourself with another? Just curious since most suggest practice with the setup you plan on defending yourself with to ensure absolute familiarity.

Considering that At 9MM and 40 cal bullet are very close to one another. i dont believe that theres is much difference, other than bullet velocity and Energy. It would be a similar recoil if any. And the 9MM is easier on the wallet when going to practice at the range.

The Glock 26 or the S&W M&Pc in 9mm. I don't think that you will go wrong with picking one or the other. If you can, get to a range that has some rentals and try them for yourself first.

I EDC a Glock 19, my wife a Glock 26, but I actually prefer the S&W M&Pc 9mm to the Glock 26 if I was going to go smaller.

Good luck with your choice and remember the holster and belt combination are very important in your decision for an EDC gun.
Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Try a Walther PPS in 9mm. IMO, it's WAY better than a Glock 26.
