    Default understanding C&R

I belong to 8 other sites just like this one, which are primarily firearms sites. I see a continuing trend of people believing that a C&R license holder is a "Dealer". I'd like to clarify that this is NOT true. A C&R holder may buy specified guns for his/her collection and at times may sell one/some with the sole purpose of enhancing the collection. Any C&R holder who buys a gun specifically for someone else, whether or not he/she makes a profit, would be considered a straw purchase and is illegal. With the increasing posting of people whose posts seem to infer a C&R is a "dealer" and can buy and sell at will, I just thought I'd clarify this and hopefully prevent an un-intentional violation.

I have a C&R and can't recall anyone thinking it is legal to buy for someone else. You get cool discounts at Midway and Brownells for having a 03C&R. And when you log in you are considered a dealer by them. But again I haven't seen any posting that someone thought it was ok to buy for someone else. The license itself says it plainly enough.

ive had mine for fifteen years and never got anybody a firearm with it. but you can dispose of more than one at a time. as long as your not using it as a dealers license.

believe me they are out there.
How do you like your CZ82? Love mine. Much better than my CZ52, Bit on the heavy side, but I think that makes it steadier to shoot.

A "dealer" only in the sense that we can buy for ourselves without a middleman and attendant prices increases.

How does one go about getting a C&R license? Not to hijack or anything.

I bought my CZ82 before I had a C&R. And I love it. Just bought a holster for it about 2 weeks ago from Midway with my discount . It's my carry gun now. Accurate and all around cool gun.

It is not as difficult as you would think.
