Indoor Range in the Greater Reading area?
Just looking for some feedback. . .
There are pleanty of outdoor gun ranges available in this area. Do you think that gun owners would use a private indoor facility if it were available? or continue to go to outdoor ranges (cause it's cheaper)? Do you think there is much of a demand for an indoor facility here? Would you join a club offering an infoor facility and what, realistically (not a 300 yd bench), would you like to see offered? What would you be willing to pay for membership to support an indoor range? Even if it were just a pistol and centerfire rifle (.22 caliber) at 25 yds. would you go?
If safety classes and firearm instruction were made available at a reasonable cost, would you be interested? How about family members?
It would be a HUGE investment in the present economy. Not sure if there is enough interest to support something like that around here. Thanks.

I suppose you mean pistol and rimfire rifle.
Personally, I wouldn't be very interested unless there was a group I was going to shoot with. It would be nice if there was a UT class somewhere close and I don't know what sort of range that requires.
This other thread suggests there may be some interest now that the Sheriff and the BATF shut down the Gun Gallery.

I would be interested. Cold damp weather bothers my arthritis, and I would have been shooting all winter if there were a nearby indoor range. I don't know what a "huge" investment is. Can you start small and work up with member support?
And I would bring friends and family members for classes or social events. It would be nice to have a range that could be rented for a private event.Liberal female handgun owner. Newbie. Need skills, practice, gun savvy.

I would frequent a local indoor range that wasn't as "shady" as Gun Gallary was. If I was to build/buy an indoor range I would want 25yrd pistol, and if possible 50yrd rifle lanes. And I would want the range to be available for IDPA and USPSA shoots.

I might go, a lot of it would depend on the area in Reading and weather or not I had to learn Spanish.

If it was reasonably priced I would frequent one on inclement weather days. French Creek Outfitters has a good deal on Fridays for ladies free with male lane rental.

Just checked the French Creek site, and there is an even better deal. Ladies shoot all day on Tuesday for a dollar. No man required. LOL

"If you build it, they will come" and I would be one of the first - my wife by my side. Yes, definitely! Let me know where/when, I'll be there.
