My newest aquisition.. Smith&Wesson Model 66-1
Just picked this old girl yeasterday.
Its Pinned/recessed Model 66-1 with 2" barrel with K sight.
It needed some serious cleaning. I can tell that it hasn't been shot too much, but must've not been cared for(some rust, and alot of scratch), and barrel was dirty.
But I just could not walked away from her.
She was asking me to take her home, saying "this old girl has alot of potential". As matter of fact, both DA and SA trigger feels smooth, and solid, cylinder lock up is tight, and no forword/backwords play on cylinder.
She is naked right now(grip came with it is so fugry, I feel ashamed to post pic with it), but i'll get some nice hogue grip on her, some cleaning, she'll be great CCWin no time!
With target grip on(for square butt! LOL)
Here she is, next to her younger sister(its recessed, but not pinned 65 with HBBL/rumped sight, which is newer)..
Familiy shot with her younger sister, and her older brother(686 with 6" barrel)..
1500grid and 2000grid wet paper, and dremel with polish wheel and mothers's metal polish would shine her right up(as other 2 were just as bad shape as 66 when I first got it)Audemus jura nostra defendere

Smitty Wheel gun is the shit!
We always talk about how 1911 and JMB was perfect in anyway for the past 100 years.. Well, Smith's K frame should also considered as just about perfect in about past 100 years as well(Since original K frame dates back to 1899 with Smith & Wesson .38 Hand Ejector, and basic design of their DA/SA trigger mechanism(other then some minor stuff - change of spring from U shaped leaf to coil spring, shape of hammer, addition of hammer block, and so on biggest change in 1915 with M1905's 4th update - since then, its pretty much identical to modern Smith's k or L frame) hasn't changed in past 111years.
I know that there are many Colt lovers out there, but for me, Smitty DA/SA revolvers are the shit(never did like Colt wheel guns trigger feel, not to mention cylinder spins in wrong direction)!Audemus jura nostra defendere
