Default Looking for any Gun Shops in ....

The Clarks Summit and the Scranton area. I'll be working up there for a couple of weeks and was wondering if there were any good gun shops to browse around a little to kill some time.
    Thanks Mike

Well, that depends on your preferred firearm. If you're looking for the best local tactical gunshop, then go to Advanced Arms in Pittston. If you're looking for the small mom and pop gunshop or hunting guns, go to Bill's Sporting Goods on the corner of Market and Main in Scranton.

If you jump onto 81 you can make it down to Nanticoke and check out PPiestracks pretty quick.

Guntoters on Betty Street in Eynon is a fine place to lose a few hours.

if you want to window shop, but not spend money, J&G Sports in Throop is nice; it's a gun porn shop. for actual shopping, everyone else here already listed the best stores in the area. Bill's, Advanced Arms, and Gun Toter's. another shop that's a bit out of the way, but worth the drive, is Hunter's Gallery, in Hamlin. very friendly staff, and a good selection of handguns, rifles, and shotties.

do NOT patronize Carbondale Guns. the guy who runs it is a shady sumbitch, and has ripped a bunch of guys off, that i know of. he tried to pawn off an Armscor .38 snubbie on me for $300, which is more than twice what the gun is worth. Hi Points for $275? i think not.

Was just gonna say. I just found this place the other day and it is a very nice shop. The owner let me (attempt) to shoulder the Barret 50 cal he had on sale at the time. Weird feeling shouldering a gun equal in value to the down payment on your house. Lot's of AR stuff there as well, I enjoyed myself.
