    Default Another Krylon'd AR

My latest build... Anvil Arms Lower with parts kit, CMMG upper with Troy Drop in rail and VLTOR stock. Oh, and a UTG flip rear sight.

I OD Greened the Stock (which was already foliage green, but a little different), the grip, the bottom of the flip sight and all the space in between the rails.

    Enjoy!

I have my rifle. Do you?

I'll admit that I had an "oh no" in my head but I came in anyway. I think your AR looks great man... nice work. Do you use some satin polyurethane on it to keep it from scratching up?

Actually, I hadn't thought about any type of polyurethane... this was my first attempt and I didn't want to go overboard. Truthfully, I think I may leave it as is, if it wears, it wears... it may add to the character of the carbine.

Are you using the Krylon for plastics? Did you do anything to prep it before painting?

That looks pretty darn good for something you did yourself with spray paint.

I got the paint at the local wally world. Kryon is making a line of paints called Camouflage - its made specifically for this sort of thing (plastics, metal... dries in less than 30 seconds).

As for prep, not much. I just made sure there was no oil or anything like that. Just wiped it down good.
