Default Time for a new pistola... lol

Please forgive any spelling or punctuation mistakes, I'm writting this from my cell phone and it takes forever... lol I am looking for a new gun, preferably a revolver. I want it to be good for both carry and maybe backup during deer season. I just can't decide on what I should get. I was thinking of the .44 mag, but those aren't common around my parts... I saw a new .327 mag, but it didn't impress me... Can anyone help a brother out!?! lol -Chaz

Anything from ruger, in 44mag or even 45 colt.

    Even a nice 357, sp101 or gp100.

357 mag, 44 mag, 45 colt are all good choices. Even a 41 mag would be a good choice in my book.

I just bought this and I love it so far. super light, much lighter loaded then my carry gun is empty. Not that I could conceal it. Shoots good so far. Only shot about 50 shots so far due to the cold snowy conditions.

Oh yeah It was cheap too

A 4" barreled K-frame Smith & Wesson in .357 Mag (only available on the used market these days) or a Ruger SP101 or GP100 (same caliber and barrel length) would be your most useful choice if you really intend to use it as a carry gun. A S&W 686 with 4" barrel would be a good second choice.

I don't think you want to go with anything larger if you really intend to carry it. Believe me N frame guns are heavy!

    i was looking at a smith 329.....a 44mag with a 4" barrel on an N frame that weights 26ozs.
looked like a great gun to carry, but not sure i would actually want to fire it often with anything more than specials in it.
it's only metal, we can out think it....
