That is what I was thinking though. It would be cool, but I don't think it's worth the extra $100... that's money I can throw down on BUIS sites right away then...

They have a retail store in Lancaster so I just drove over to pick it up. $369, and when I got it there was a rebate going on for $30 off, so $339. Not sure if it's still going on though.

Aimpoints are good but way too much for what you get. You also need a mount when you purchase one, whereas EOTech has it built in.

i'm going to check this site out i wonder if the rebate would apply for online orders?

Like was mentioned, only if you're in combat. Or I'll add if you have a nice night vision device to use the lower settings with... of course if you had a good one of those, you probably wouldn't be too worried about $100...

I bought a package from GG&G because I wanted a quick detatch capable mount and lens covers. Worth looking into if you want both.

EOTechs are definitely 'all that.' I absolutely love mine. I've used aimpoints on two deployments, and while they are very nice and battery life is second-to-none, I prefer the sight picture, 1 MOA center dot (as opposed to 4 MOA on Aimpoints), and field of view much better on the EOTech.

I sprang for the night vision on my EOTech for 'just in case,' but if I had to do it over again, I would not paid the extra money for an option I don't use. If you currently or plan to buy night vision for use with your optic, spend the extra money, if not, I wouldn't bother... especially since you're trying to save money in the first place.

when you were deployed to serve your country & put your life in harms way, you had to buy your own equipment ?

they dont just give or issue it to you for the useage ???

They issued us the aimpoints. We did not have to buy them. I bought my EOTech for my civilian AR15.
