I used 2400 exclusively on the my 6" and 8" .357's for years. I would think it would probably serve you well.

2400 and AA #9 are excellent powders in the 41.

Re: 2400 in my new-old .41 magnum
I use Hec 2400 for realoading my .41 mag Blackhawk. My favorite load is 210 SWC, 14.5 gr of 2400 and mag CCI primers in WW brass.

2400 is a good powder for the magnums. I've used it for years in .357 and .44 with very good results accuracy wise and burning wise (clean).

Re: 2400 in my new-old .41 magnum
I've been using 2400 in my 41 for 20+ years. I can get close to 1400fps with a 220 gr. SWC with mine. Some people say you shouldn't use magnum primers with 2400.

Re: 2400 in my new-old .41 magnum
I have heard that you shouldn't use magnum primers with 2400 to. I have used it for about 30 years in my .44 mags with whichever primer I have on-hand at the time and never had any problems. Just got a .41 mag and loaded three different powders (2400, Universal Clays and Win231) half with mag primers and they all shot fine in my three screw Blackhawk.

Re: 2400 in my new-old .41 magnum
I had never had issues before either but just recently I loaded some 215 SWC's and ran into sticky extraction. Switched to non-magnum primers and it went away. At this point I'm just going to use non-magnum primers since that is what the most current loading data calls for.
