It was a great gun and they should have never stopped making it, it was originaly developed for the secret service IIRC.

P228 is a very fine pistol that IMO, feels almost perfect to shoot. On of the finest.
I'm slowly converting to the Glock striker trigger and the only con I can think of off the top of my head is the traditional DA/SA trigger. And that is a very minor con.

I can't think of any cons, it's a great pistol and probably the best Sig ever made IMO.

It gets my vote for the best all around SIG 9mm. Still regret parting with mine years back. 100% reliable and can use the larger P226 magazines.

Not really that many cons to the p228 other then they no longer make it. I think it is one of the most balanced, accurate and reliable 9mm's I own.
