Re: Current LTCF turn times
My wife and I are un Montco. I finally convinced her to get a LTCF. It took 8 days. She took the local police check form to Lower Merion PD and they emailed the results to the sheriff in 4 days. Sheriff got on a Friday. I called on Monday to see if they had it in hand and finding that they did we drove to Norristown Courthouse and 20 minutes later she walked out with a LTCF.

Re: Current LTCF turn times
Wow. I live in Lancaster County and both my original issuance and renewal was done on the spot. Walked in and 20 minutes later walked out with my LTCF. Ditto the renewal.

Re: Current LTCF turn times
Lackawanna County sheriff's office reported for week ending yesterday, Friday they took 132 applications, average of 26 a day. Sheriff stated average is usually 5-15 per day. Wayne county a more rural area, had 112 total for first 3 weeks of November. Sheriff of Wayne said small uptick in applications. Lackawanna applicants leaving courthouse with LTCF, just waiting longer in lines. At time of report Friday, 16 people waiting in lobby at sheriffs office. Information from newspaper, just throwing it out there for what its worth.
