C.D.I. has grown- in no small part due to the customers and friends I have met here.

I appreciate your business and trust. Part of the reason I started in this business was due to the frustration of waiting months for my gunsmith work to be done.

That being said, In the last month I have declined more business than I have accepted due to the resurfacing of a couple service related injuries that keep me from being at the bench for a full day.

Just to complicate life a little more, I totaled the CDI War Wagon on a patch of black ice last Monday. The air bags and impact really pissed off my old injuries (and Mrs. C.D.I.).

The good news is, I am VERY goal oriented and am busy putting things back together. I am hoping to be back to a more reasonable 2-3 week turnaround in January of the new year; assuming I survive the family drama of the holiday season.

It is no fun waiting for a gun to be worked on, or a lot of other things to be done. But really, do you want the guy who has lots of time on his hands and no backlog at all fixing your gun? That to me is sort of like pulling into a diner at noon and there are no other cars in the parking lot. There is a guy much closer to me than Sean, but Sean always gets my business now, even when I have to wait, which is most of the time.

Well, on the one hand, I'm being told that compliance mods to an AR "arent that complicated" but I still wanted "the best".

Biggest problem is Jersey. I found what I want at a good price (sure it wont last) and I cant even buy and hold it. Needs to go straight to an FFL.

Regardless, my recommendation thread got zero replies so I guess its back to waiting and hoping.

Ouch! Which is worse, the pissed off injuries or the pissed off wife?

Hopefully there no permanent damage to either of you and you both feel better soon! In other words, best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Sean was nice enough to look at my Star M43 9mm today. After a good look over, he gave it a clean bill of health, and schooled me on grip and arm position for a better result. I was doing exactly what I thought I wasn't.

BTW, we are practically neighbors, being a little over a mile away. He will be seeing me again in the future.

Are you able / willing to engrave AR lowers ? I am going the SBR route and I could save myself some time and trouble just buying new and using you for the transfer.

Sorry, I can not engrave lowers.
I think Brian from Easton Firearms Refinishing is working toward getting an engraving machine that will do N.F.A. acceptable engraving.

Had Sean cut down a shotgun barrel for me and put on a new bead sight... work was excellent and reasonably priced, which is what you can expect from CDI.
