Re: CDI Custom Knife & Gun in Chalfont
Sean just did serious magic on my friend's Stoeger shotgun. It refused to work for YEARS. It works perfect now.
Conclusion: SEAN IS A WIZARD

Re: CDI Custom Knife & Gun in Chalfont
Sean just did the following for me:
2) barrel thread jobs; one on a .308 bolt gun the other on a 10/22
2) barrel cut jobs; one on an M37 Ithaca the other on a custom Mauser
2) drill and taps; one on a 870 and the other on an old game master 30-06
And a $20 lower transfer to boot
Everything looks great and his prices are excellent. If you need anything done go there! He will hook you up. I drove an hour to drop off and pick my stuff up and it was not a wasted drive. Very happy customer.

Re: CDI Custom Knife & Gun in Chalfont
I stopped in to see and chat with him today regarding my crooked AK. He advised me of what he could do versus having it (possibly) done under warranty. He was actually honest enough to say he'd rather send it back for manufacturer repair under warranty. I'd much rather have someone be honest and straight up with me instead of drumming up business for themselves. Plus, he's a good guy to BS and trade stories with.

Re: CDI Custom Knife & Gun in Chalfont
Has anyone had CDI modify a Glock 17 to take the G19 15 round mags(cut down the grip) and what have the results been?
EDIT: I'm in PRNJ so, you know.......

Re: CDI Custom Knife & Gun in Chalfont
CDI/Sean has very good reviews, maybe too good.
Ive called him a couple of times and on both occasions he had about a two month back log.

Re: CDI Custom Knife & Gun in Chalfont
It is no fun waiting for a gun to be worked on, or a lot of other things to be done. But really, do you want the guy who has lots of time on his hands and no backlog at all fixing your gun? That to me is sort of like pulling into a diner at noon and there are no other cars in the parking lot. There is a guy much closer to me than Sean, but Sean always gets my business now, even when I have to wait, which is most of the time.

Re: CDI Custom Knife & Gun in Chalfont
If you want quality work sometimes you just have to wait. I send things to Sean that I don't have the equipment to handle the job with. Currently he has two more mosins from me that he is shortening the barrels , recrowning and threading them for ar muzzle brkaes that he machines out for the 7.62x54. Then when I get them back I fit custom stocks ,timney triggers and customize the bolt and handle to accomodate whatever type of scope we want to use. The last one that he did for me about five weeks ago we fitted to a new arch angle stock with a burris tactical scope ,ten round mag headed out to EFGA and produced a under half inch 3 shot group at 50 yards and a inch and a 1/ 4 group at one hundred yards using silver bear ammo . the results far exceeded my expectations for what I could get out of a mosin . I credit the performance to Sean's work on the action especially the crown work. Yeah the timmey trigger and the custom muzzle break help a lot but if the end of muzzle is rough the bullet will not leave the barrel on a stable flight path. When get the custom cerakote on it we will post the pics on the forum. Did we half to wait yes but the results were well worth it. On a side note we did spend way to much money on this mosin but the results were outstanding and you can sit at the range and easily bang 100 rounds thru it with out hurting your shoulder. My last range session went 80 rounds and I only quit for 2 reasons one I really needed to go do some work and two I ran out of ammo so I had no choice. Give Sean a chance to get caught up on his work ,you will be happy with the results.

If I had something that I needed a smithy for, I'd be sending it to Sean.
