My new M1 Garand

I just picked this up in the classifieds. I'd like to share the obligatory gun photos with you folks now... and man is she a beauty! Thanks to the seller, you know who you are!





The 1945 date that matches the serial number...



Of course our cat the "Customs Agent" had to come inspect it as he does with EVERYTHING I bring home


I was trying to get a good shot of the excellent rifling in the barrel, but it didn't turn out too well... (Yes the action was open and unloaded)

He gave me about 10 clips with a little Greek surplus ammo to get me started.

Really pretty. How much you want for it?
Just kidding. After handling an SKS, AK, several AR's, Garand, and M1 carbine, my pick was the Garand. The action and the quality impressed me over all the others. Damn heavy, though.

fyi, you forgot the required photo showing the muzzle with an m2 cartridge upside down in it showing how little muzzle wear it has.

it's in the garand owners handbook...y2k revised edition.

I was thinking that after the fact... hang tight for a photo.

Here it is... not sure what this means though. I'm still looking through the instruction manual.
